02/09/2009 Detox

Well August zipped past us in a cloud of dust and in the blink of an eye, the one month detox is complete.
What I thought would be a grueling journey of resistance, filled with limp salad leaves and yearning for funtimes, was in fact surprisingly easy... and enjoyable!
Being somewhat of a stubborn lady by nature, I embraced the challenge, and being a habitual creature also, I found that I am happy as long as I am addicted to something... be it chips and cheese or for the past month, spirulina (yum yum).
I also didnt lose any expensive technological accessories either hurray!

I keep getting asked if I feel any different, and to be honest I actually don't other than I feel quite smug for completing what you secretly (and some not so secretly) doubted that I could do. I also, according to one Chinese colleague, 'look less fat, and have less spots' - a compliment I assume ?!

I couldn't have done it without a partner in crime, and SnT's superb salad skills, power shakes, and looks of judgment when I was feeling the vino cravings spurred me on to the finish line.

We had a celebratory cocktail last night which resulted in a bit of a cocktail binge, which resulted in hangover munchies in the guise of Mac Ds for lunch today (ugg).
The definition of leaping off of the wagon deluxe.
Let the Retox commence
