Not far from the wall is a heritage site called the Ming Temples. There are 13 to visit in total and if you want to see them all then it apparently takes 3days and you need to stop overnight en route, and take a guide to the more remote areas. We walked for nearly an hour and didnt even see one... just the gateway garden! Heres some pics...
