03/11/2008 - Zaia @ Venetian Hotel, Macau

Went back to Macau on Saturday to watch the new Cirque du Soleil - Zaia- show that has just become a permanent feature of the Venetian Hotel.
The show was about the dream of a young girl traveling through space to visit different worlds. Which I think was their excuse to create a whole bunch of randomness and throw it together for 90mins... it was incredible! I felt like a 5year old gasping and laughing and saying 'woooow' and oooh and ahhhh every 2minutes! Acrobats and contortionists , trampolining clowns, firedancers, trapeze artists, breakdancers, upside down wire cyclists... endless entertainment, a visual delight, 10 gold stars from me, would defo go back once again!

Some photos here of the show, were not allowed to take pics in there so have stolen these from the web to show you what some of it was like...

Since the show was located in the Venetian Hotel (which was unbelievably tacky btw) I also of course had to have a flutter on the roulette table. Before you all start worrying that I may have the beginnings of a gambling addiction do not fear for I went placed a little cash, lost most of it, won it all back, left with a tiny profit... unlike some of crazy chinese men I saw betting $10000 at a time, losing and walking away with a shrug of the shoulders - what a (rich) nutter !!
