11/11/2008 - Arctic conditions?

Well I woke up on Sunday, chucked on a pair of shorts, flip flops and a lightweight sweater top to go out for lunch... Soon after stepping out the front door I immediately noticed a bizarre change in the weather... it was as if Jack Frost has hijacked Hong Kong! Ok well, its still around 17 degrees but considering last week it was still around 28-30 thats a huge drop, and very noticeable.

Especially to the locals here... who appear to believe that they have suddenly been transported to an arctic land, out have come the winter coats, scarves, gloves, hats. Honestly, I mean it warrants a cardi and maybe the retirement of open shoes for the time being but hardly qualifies for a full blown wrap up, highly amusing.

I however, very much am relishing this change, autumnal weather is my absolute favourite, allowing layering, scarves, boots and funky tight wearing. Its the perfect season as, unlike winter you do not have to rely purely on your coat to make your fashion statement to the general public. Summer is obviously the most rubbish season invented in Hk, reducing you to wearing as little as possible yet STILL sweating continuously. Spring can be comparable to autumn but in my opinion, lacks slightly as the colours are less pretty, and it is the prelude to the aforementioned dreaded summer!

Miss you all, wish you were here to witness the odd stares I receive for 'shock horror' not being in full arctic dress up lol
Much Love
Tx
