Last weekend I went to my friends wedding banquet in Shenzhen. Of course there was plenty of tradional Chinese food quite worryingly 4of us managed to polish off a bottle of Hennessy between us!
As with most Chinese weddings the couple get their photographs taken before the wedding itself and display them at the banquet. Also, Sharin was explaining to me that the celebration banquet and the ceremony itself are not always on the same day, as was the case in this instance.

Although, do not want to get invited to too many weddings as it is custom to provide a 'red pocket' contribution of a sizable amount to the couple as a wedding gift(!)
