Hi all, thought Id share some of the delights from HK Mag:
Last week in reality
22 Mon
An elderly couple get into a dispute after buying items for the winter solstice meal at the Kwun Tong wet market.
When they get home, they discover that they are missing $40. The husband blames the wife, saying she must have been shortchanged. The argument escalates and he hits her with his shoe, she retaliates with a broom. The police arrive and find the $40 in their home. The couple are arrested but later released to celebrate the solstice, a traditional family holiday.
25 Thurs
A 75 year old mans face is severely burned whilst smoking. It is believed he was smoking whilst on a respirator and the highly concentrated oxygen caught fire and exploded. He was sent to the hospital and is now in serious condition.

First Person. Peter So Man-fung is famed for feng shui:
'There is a feng shui theory for predicting the stock market: for the years that are an even number, the market will drop at the beginning of the of the year and rise at the end, and vice versa for odd-numbered years. It didnt work last year; thats when I lost money'
'I started practicing feng shui as an amateur but i ended up professional - not because Im particuarly good mind you. It was my destiny.'
A small slice of news from the sunny shores of asian madness.
35 days and counting until Im back and drinking in the delights of the motherland... cheese and onion pasties, jacket potatoes, fingers of fudge, real McCoy crisps, carvery lunch, shoes in my size, fish and chips, sandwiches, cold weather, baths, beer gardens, quality indulgent time with all my favourite people in the entire world.
Much love, hope you're all ready to rock out 2009.
Tx
