ISHK, est'd in 2005, is the only indie short film festival focused on promoting Hong Kong as a city and its talent.
Independent filmmakers compete for prizes across four categories. The entries, featuring music videos, animations and short films, share one thing in common: they all use Hong Kong as their film set.
The festival has rapidly been building a buzz, and Im informed that the standard of entries this year is really quite special.

One of the entries into the music video category is a Hk based trio called CB Fresh (www.cbfresh.com).


I was fortunate to view their submission tape (music video category) a wee while back and have been fanatically checking youtube ever since so that I can share it with you all - its very much deserved of a shout out. Im a tad concerned the hilarity of the song lyrics may be lost on those of you not familiar with Hk, but I cldnt stop giggling, nor stop singing the damn lyrics for hours after watching.
Think back to the Branksome song that made ripples last year, its along the same lines but enormously better (oooh controversial statement!). Its all about trying to find a decent apartment in Hk and I just happen to think its pure brilliant and here's the link. Go check it out:
