03/08/2009 - Jungle exploration
A sense of Déjà vu, and reinforcing my reputation of being a creature of habits (albeit faddy ones), I again set off on a hike across the dragons back down to Shek O beach at the weekend.
No rain this time, but the views were piss poor due to alarmingly high levels of pollution smogging everything out. I saw a record amount of wildlife with giant (and I mean STEROID large) ants, super powered long distance jumping grasshoppers, big and beautiful butterfly's, cute tree lizards, and other unidentified 'bush rustling' creatures. Oh, and some abandoned trainers ??!?
It was the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching up to 37C and humidity around 80%, suffice to say the dip in the ocean at the end of the hike (even the sea was recorded as 28C) was heavenly.
Tx
