This weekend I got glammed up to accompany a dinner suited (yum) SnT to the annual FCC Ball.
A giant room full of people, all with far too much casharama making outrageous bids in the charity auction ( A signed U2 guitar went for $200,000 only to be re-donated to the auction!) - I had to resist that itchy urge to put my hand up for fun - apparently you really have to pay for shizzle you win, and they weren't exactly raffling off penny sweets.






The Charlie Daniels Band played and were outstanding, I got fully involved in a bit of skirt swinging yea-haring.

Charlie Daniels himself (Santa Claus in disguise) is near 75 years old and gave a foot stomping energetic performance that puts youngster pop tarts to shame - you only realised his age when he had to be helped down from the stage afterwards!


They of course closed out with their No1 hit single 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' - fabulous

Ps: If you are wondering why I look like a leper with a bandage on my arm its because the God of Party Karma (remember him and his wicked ways?!) has smited me again for falling too heavily off the detox wagon - punishment this time was a highly unattractive, very painful, swollen gammy elbow. Thank the lord for Dr Lee.
