04/10/2010 - Concrete Jungle
Dear HK Town Planners,
When one finds a rare spot of land in the extremely crowded vicinity of Mongkok that is not scheduled for additional skyscraper domination, nor for the allocation of additional road usage to further contribute to the already shockingly high pollution index, I feel a congratulatory note is in order.
I especially applaud the decision made to dedicate this said space to the well being of the community, in the form of an 'outdoor area'.
How joyous the thought was to be able to spend time in a small corner of nature among our oppressing concrete jungle. How I envisioned the laughter of small children whilst enjoying themselves in the proposed 'playground facilities'. How I thoroughly looked forward to cooling oneself beneath the shade of dappled leaves, and enjoying the wafting scent of fresh flower shrubs.
How NON SURPRISED I was to discover YET AGAIN you ROYALLY FECKED UP.
NOT what I had in mind.
