15/10/2007 The Big move… and more party goss!

I have the pleasure of working from home for most of today…well I say working, I’m not sure that my boss would classify sitting in my pj’s writing up my blog whilst simultaneously checking my facebook work? Actually I forgot that its quite common for people to get fired for writing up careless things in their blog.. I doubt he would ever see this but just in case… Mark I am actually in full business attire slaving away in preparation for those meetings tomorrow (I actually will be later so semi true at the moment!)

Why from home you ask? Well its not home for much longer, I am moving to my new place this morning, just waiting to be picked up. CFL have been extra helpful and have organised a van and two strong men to move me across. So my life once more is packed into suitcases (plus a few extra bags of crap I seem to have acquired, hmm!). Im SO looking forward to properly unpacking and being settled. I am also looking forward to having lots more new things to talk about as China is very different to Hk culturally I have been told, mind you already have a party back in Hk planned for this Friday!!

This weekend I ended up out on Saturday night (of course!). We went to Lan Kwai Fong street party.. a bit like a Hk Mardi Gras, it was jammed packed and everyone was drinking yards of ale in the street, brilliant fun! Then ended up in the Key club where I danced my feet away into ground down stumps, met a girl called Helen who is the best dancer I have ever seen so of course I had to befriend her for a dance off! After that headed to a Karaoke bar in Causeway Bay… hilarious. I know that no matter how drunk I got I could never EVER get up to sing (based on the fact that my voice is horrendous!) but did manage to persuade Mike who it turns out has a beautiful voice… wish I did then I would eternally hang out in Karaoke bars!

Right, just a short entry today (awww I hear you say haha) must finish packing and then going down to check out shortly, I will miss this little hotel apartment just got used it it! I feel like I almost have to start all over again moving to China but I’m sure it will be no problem, discovering that I am a pretty adaptable person in fact read a very relevant quote yesterday (on a clothes label of all places!)… ‘He who rejects change is the architect of decay’

Lots of love from the soon to be Chinese Tanya. xx
