Last week Debbie & Noel came to visit, was so good to see some familiar faces! I arranged to meet them last week in Hk on Wed night for dinner and drinks… on hindsight the drinking part was not such a good idea since we ended up in a club called Dragoneye and was drinking Champagne again.. woops, was still a little bit drunky the next morning!

On Friday night I met friends and went for a hot pot (Chinese version of fondue)… everyone seems to get very excited about this and over here they only eat it during the ‘cold’ weather! On your table you get a heated big bowl of boiling soup water, our was half non spicy soup section, and the other half was so full of chilli’s that my stomach feel scared just looking at it! You then order your individual bits… meat and veg and chuck it all in wait for it to cook and fish it out to munch… yummy! One of the more bizarre things I cooked was pig BRAIN!! Actually very nice, a bit gooey!

Saturday night I met up with Debz and Noel again and we went to a Chinese restaurant where I introduced them to my favourite… steamed dumplings mmm! Yet again we then hit up the bars, took them to meet all my HK friends and they bought along their own friends they had met whilst here (Hk is a very sociable place like that!) so there was a big group of us all sat outside a bar down a side street very nice and relaxed. Somehow got talked into drinking double tequila shots and of course the outcome was messy… lost my wallet for a start.. cue lots of hysterical crying about how my life was over! Hehe

Back to work today, which equals back to busy life central, have attached some more pics… feels as if I don’t then you might feel cheated! This time, of the hotpot, my night out with Deb/noel and of my desk so I can share with you the place where I sit for half my life now! Also note the pic of the photocopier… in Chinese, like most things in my life now it’s a guessing game! Also of my wall of post it notes with random Chinese words written down!

One last mental image to leave you with… went home for lunch today in an effort to save cash (since I lost my wallet and have to live off of limited cash until I can visit the bank as I STILL do not have my pin number but don’t even get me started on that one!). So anyway was cooking dumplings and noodles on the hob, bent over to see if they were done… slipped, ended up with hair in the hob flames… thank god I have gone easy on the hairspray today or else I would have been a human fireball! Result is singed hair very badly cut by myself to sort it out and a slightly burnt chin… this is why I eat biscuits for dinner most nights! Im such an idiot!

Apologies for the less frequent entries lately… my busy life schedule means I have less time to update, also how interesting can ‘today I worked and then partied’ be after the 10th time?! Hehe. This weekend going on a trip to the countryside with a big group from work so will have some more interesting chat for you all!
