Ive done the ultimate stupid thing to do when you are in a foreign country and uttertly dependant on a mobile phone... lost my stupid goddamn mobile phone!
I had it, made a call on it just before I got in the taxi.. when I got out the taxi at the other end... gone! :-(

Now, we won't mention the slight matter of me being a wee bit tipsy at the time influencing this little mishap, and instead blame it on my poorly designed pockets... stupid damn market bought clothing!

However, never fear.. I have arranged a replacement phone / sim card and should have it by the weekend (same Hk number) and in the meantime I am reachable (in emergencies cos it costs a fortune!) on my UK mobile number!!

Other than destroying my communication methods one by one (1st the laptop, now the phone)
I have had an interesting week so far..
Went to visit a supplier for a presentation yesterday in Hk, which I might say was mighty impressive! They seems very innovative and have an excellent research unit (it also helped that the man giving the presentation was rather delicious... although I cannot go on record as giving that as my professional opinion!)
For those of you involved in the industry, he was discussing their developments with microencapsulation, Phase change materials and silver fibre technology.... so interesting and not at all what I was expecting.. I thought we were due a 3hour presentation where I would have to prop my eyelids open, so a rather pleasant suprise.

Looking forward to having a week off next week for the festive season... on which note I would like to add further thanks for all my beautiful cards, Im so touched that you all made the effort to post me a card all the way round the world!!

Well this is just a quick mid-week report and will be in touch next to update you all on the company xmas party which has everyone excited tomorrow night (although we do have a 'party schedule' so not quite sure what to expect?!)
