This isn’t the first time I’ve seen a really confusing English menu in a Chinese restaurant in China. Inaccurate English translations seem to be a common problem, hence Chinglish. The most ideal and cost effective way to avoid this problem would probably be to use translation agencies in the first instance. If customers can’t understand the menu, it almost defeats the objective of having one in the first place.
