So time once again for a wee update for you peeps.
This week has flown in and as per been kept busy and out of trouble. Last week was Lisa-Jaynes Bday so Pete (who recently moved to Sz) came down and we all went on a razz Hk styley. Suspect Pete may think I am a tad of an inappropriate drunk since I got absolutely trashed off my face and ended up partying until nearly 7am. We did a bit of a bar crawl and it was the usual drunken nonsense. Managed to yet again fall over.... an incident involving taking a picture, going to lean back against a wall which quite annoyingly was located 5 feet behind where I had judged it to me, I fell so completely on my ass that I knocked the wind straight out of my sails and have only been able to sit down on one side for the rest of the week!

Also went to see a concert on Thurs. NERD were playing and totally tore the place up, lots of dancing and plenty of Chinese wanna-be american hip hop gangster types.. tres amusing! They then announced an 'short break' before Kanye west was due on, and they kept us waiting for an entire HOUR! He didnt even start until 11pm and was to be honest, a bit of a snore fest.. I left early because quite frankly was a bit pooped and wanted to get the bus back to sz at a decent hour.

Workwise, have switched departments this week and now working with FIt Tech which is pattern cutting etc, the area I trained in at uni so looking forward to using some of my skill set, which will be a novelty since I have spent the last 7 months blindly stumbling around trying to soak up the knowledge whilst at the same time appear to know what Im talking about!
Working directly with the senior technician who is the most passionate man when it comes to pattern and fitting that I have ever met... great as a mentor but he is seriously having a love affair with his grading ruler and tape measure!! Its nice to work with someone who is so into his work and willing to teach me, but is a tad info overload at times.

So lazy weekend this weekend, dvd's, laundry, sleep.. enjoying not doing much for once and taking a breather before the working week kicks off again.

Been here 7 months tomorrow and wondering where on earth it has gone? Sometimes it feels like seconds since I arrived, other times like i have been here a lifetime. Was discussing the other day how its odd when I occasionally get those 'omg, I live in China' moments, and not even when something extraordinary happens, rather during some mundane task, like walking to work or something and I suddenly just get a strike of awe and have to take a moment to evaluate how bizarre the little twists and turns that take you on these life adventures!

Miss you all mammoth amounts, and Dad... think ppl at work are getting slightly sick of me bigging you up! Sent you that dvd by the way. Laura... hope that the dissertation is coming along nicely and looking forward to some msn/skype chat soon you crazy nutter!
