09/11/2010 - Oscar

By Craig:
OBITUARY: Dear friend and flat mate, king of moggies, Oscar - otherwise known as the Dog Cat - died at 2.12 a.m. after a sudden illness. He was about seven years old. His life was lived to the fullest, consisting of 60 p.c. sleeping, 10 p.c. eating, 10 p.c. spaz attacks at 10 p.m. every night and 20 p.c. giving himself over to receiving affection. Oscar was rescued by Shannon as a wee infant from the streets of Hong Kong and transported to the lofty heights of Zenith Mansions where he spent the rest of his life roaming the roof top balcony, digging up plants, chasing bats, entertaining security guards and educating his new human pets about the joys of hanging with a cat.
He trained many humans, including Grace, Ane Mari, PHP and Vivi, before settling with Craig for the remainding 4 years of his life.

His affectionometer peaked when he met Pirate and all concerns about his homosexuality disappeared as he showered her with love. His daily greetings included foot love in the morning and the flip-to-back moanouevre for submissive tummy scratchings on arrival from work at night. He demanded nothing more than to be allowed to ride around on shoulders when he was not getting enough attention and he was wont to make his displeasure felt at being left alone for longer than two days (with maid care, it should be added) strongly by depositing his tiny nuggets in places of human rest. Oscar's legacy was to turn even the most ardent dog lover into a cat sympathiser. He is survived by Pirate and Craig and shall be sadly missed.
