Glorious weather last weekend, went for a sun soaked walk along the beach.
Discovered this rather tacktastic temple site Ive never noticed before...

I may have mentioned before that in Chinese culture, it is tradition to burn certain artifacts so that the deceased relatives may receive that particular item in the afterlife.
Now of course, no-one is wealthy enough to be burning bona fide casharama, so its is acceptable to burn 'spirit' money instead, the paper version of...
This doesnt stop at cash, there is an entire street in sheung wan selling ALL manners of possible material possessions essential for a comfortable existance on the other side.
Suitcases, cars, castles, even chicken feet!! You can buy them all!!!

Just got a booklet on the reclamation of Wanchai's coastline. Quite extraordinary.
I should think that if we are that overpopulated, building into the sea is not the best solution...
