Recently helped to organise a monthly rock night at a tres cool bar here in HK.

Join Hong Kong’s CEOs as they unleash their inner rock gods at Rock The Pawn on September 8. The monthly, free-entrance gig will feature bands fronted by CEOs -- suits by day, but rockers by night. Hosted by the legendary heritage venue, The Pawn, together with Nisha Parmanand and Tanya Bennett, this high-brow rock event headlines three bands on inaugural night.

Uranus rocked the Fringe Club.
The groupies disgraced themselves and caused general mischief... but that's what groupies do ...so Im told??

Uranus did their 1st ever unplugged (teehee) session on the radio at the weekend.

- UFO - my 1st ever exhibition opening... sooooo cool :)
- Deep Purple in concert

Continuing their HK tour of musical debauchery, Uranus played 2 gigs on Sat night.
High Five to the Underground Crew for organising a fab event to kick off the release of their 3rd compilation cd - "Life After Roots - Rock Beyond"

Always fantastic to hear some live music in Honkers and I had a thoroughly good time at The Cavern dancing like a loonie.

Favourite act of the night was obviously the Rock & Roll fantastic Uranus.
Whats that I hear you mutter... Im biased because I think the lead guitarist is extremely hot...??! ;)

I got the band to sign my cd, because Im a 15yr old schoolgirl groupie at heart, and was pleased as punch that they decided to run with my Uranus Doris picture in the cd.

This has been the longest time Ive not posted for. Soooooorry!!
If anyone is still reading... last week was choc-o-bloc full of birthday parties (and it continues next week too.. summer loving eh!) so lots of celebrations, cupcakes, balloons etc etc.

Entry requirements: Hong Kong ID card...

Or so we thought...

Scary Immigration dude: 'Passport missy?'
Excited Raver (me): 'uh...no, I just have my HKID card, I thought that was all we needed?'
Scary Immigration dude: 'Follow me...'

Me and the wife got led into the small room you hope to never have to enter where ID cards are taken away and you are told to sit in cold plastic chairs.

Stern looking man re-enters and barks 'sign here'
Now thoroughly deflated about the non rave scenario, and feeling like a spanner for not bringing my passport we sheepishly shuffle over to the desk to sign.... 'ARTICLE 4th'

Me: 'Excuse me, what is Article 4th?'
Official dude: 'Says right there, pls sign.'
Me: 'uh... its in Chinese, NOT signing!'
Official dude: 'you sign'
Me: 'No'

etc etc, until he says 'ok, no sign, follow me' (??!) and we get escorted by custom officials back onto the ferry and across to HK where a nice lady in Hk explains we are a couple of idiots, and only permanent residents can use their IDs to enter Macau.

An almost international adventure :(
